Spend Your Sunday Afternoon with the Bob Henderson Jazz Band

Looking for the perfect Sunday outing? Join us on Sunday, 7 June in the Parkview Room at Central Coast Leagues Club for an afternoon of lively, feel-good jazz with the Bob Henderson Jazz Band.

Music runs from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and everyone is welcome.

Led by acclaimed trumpeter Bob Henderson, this dynamic six-piece band brings decades of experience and a vibrant, engaging sound. Bob’s career has taken him from the Hunter and Central Coast music scenes to performances with the Daly-Wilson Big Band and collaborations with former members of the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

The band features top-tier musicians, including drummer Lawrie Thompson, whose versatility adds colour and energy to every performance. Their repertoire spans New Orleans classics, swing-era favourites, and timeless standards—featuring the music of Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, and Frank Sinatra, along with songs by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Hoagy Carmichael.

The Parkview Room offers the ideal setting—plenty of space to dance, or comfortable seating if you prefer to relax and enjoy the music. Expect a warm, welcoming atmosphere that suits both dedicated jazz lovers and first-time listeners alike.
