Join Jazzleague for a special Sunday afternoon celebration honouring the life and music of one of jazz's greatest legends—Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong. This memorable birthday tribute will be led by our Jazzleague Patron Greg Englert and his outstanding band.

From his humble beginnings in New Orleans to worldwide fame through classics such as What a Wonderful World, Hello, Dolly! and Blueberry Hill, Louis Armstrong transformed jazz with his unmistakable trumpet playing, charismatic vocals and infectious personality. Greg Englert and his band will take audiences on a musical journey through Armstrong's remarkable career, celebrating the music that continues to inspire generations.

Enjoy three hours of vibrant Traditional and New Orleans Jazz, with plenty of opportunities to dance or simply sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. The Park View Room's spacious dance floor will be ready for those who want to swing, sway and celebrate with fellow jazz lovers.

Greg is one of Australia's most respected jazz musicians and historians. A gifted multi-instrumentalist, bandleader of the Tuggerah Lakes Show Band and other ensembles, filmmaker and recording engineer, Greg brings decades of musical knowledge and performance experience to every show.
