Led by Colin Davies (double bass) and Dennis Quinlan (banjo), with Jack Wiard (reeds) and Mike Hallam (trombone & vocals), the Bridge City Jazz Band plays as a quartet but often expands to a seven-piece by inviting guest trumpeters, pianists, and drummers. This makes them the only regularly performing seven-piece traditional jazz band in Sydney.

Over the years, the band has marked milestones such as Louis Armstrong’s centenary and special “Cotton Club”-inspired nights, while in 2023 it proudly celebrated its 20th anniversary. With a rotating lineup of top traditional jazz musicians, every performance is fresh, dynamic, and memorable.
